Infantry, Public Order & Disaster Response

A Coy is the Regiment’s primary infantry and internal security unit. Its members are trained in:

  • Infantry tactics and public order drills
  • Working alongside the Bermuda Police Service for crowd control and emergency response
  • Leading the RBR’s Humanitarian Aid & Disaster Relief (HADR) operations

  • Supporting national ceremonial duties

Leadership, Instruction & Specialist Training

Training Wing

Provides advanced instruction across:

  • Potential Junior Non-Commissioned Officer (PJNCO) Cadres
  • Communications Section – radio ops, signals, and tactical comms
  • Medic Section – including First Aid, CPR (adult/infant), ECAT, EMT training
    • Delivered in partnership with St. John Ambulance and Bermuda Hospitals Board

Training & Validation

  • Leads recruit training

  • Delivers all Command, Leadership & Management (CLM) courses for the Regiment

Community Outreach, Youth Training & Public Engagement

The Engagement Unit brings the RBR closer to the community through five key teams:

  • Band & Corps of Drums – Music instruction, theory, and performance
  • Junior Leaders – Youth development and leadership programmes

  • Outward Bound – Adventure training for young Bermudians

  • Recruiting Team – Community engagement and career guidance

  • Public Relations – Promoting RBR initiatives and public communications​

The RBR Boat Troop plays a vital role in Bermuda’s maritime security.

Training includes:

  • Coxswain and pilot certification

  • Coxswain and pilot certification

  • Oil spill recovery with CCA and private sector partners

  • Boarding and search operations (with HM Customs & BPS)

  • Special Constable certification with the BPS
