"BERMUDA WARRIOR" OFF TO A FLYING START

The Bermuda Regiment’s field training exercise, named "BERMUDA WARRIOR" began on Wednesday. To enhance their experience, the US Marines air lifted our soldiers into their Forward Operating Base.via a CH-53 helicopter.

The exercise takes place in the fictitious country of Jackson Key where the capital city of "Combat" has been overrun by lawless gang members who are smuggling drugs, using firearms, and intimidating the local population. The Bermuda Regiment provide support from the nearby Forward Operating Base of HAWK Although only a day and a half into the Exercise the Bermudian soldiers affectionately known by the Camp Lejeune Marines as "The Bermuda Marines" have been tested on retaining public order, vehicle patrols and detaining suspects. Despite a testing around the clock schedule and near freezing temperatures at night morale remains high and the Bermudian Commanders are confident that they will restore order and maintain public support.
